“Eyes, minds and open doors to architecture, urbanism and the good design of Barcelona
This is a true insider access opportunity. An architecture festival not to be missed. 22nd and 23rd October.
48 hours of insight of Barcelona’s architecture treasures. All for free. Architecture and the people will be the main protagonists.
On the festival’s website there are 150 buildings and places listed. 32 are in Ciutat Vella, W Barcelona’s neighborhood. Here some examples of places that seem interesting to see from inside:
Guifré 11 (private home and design studio):
Torre Colom (movement called “Brutalista”, 1960):
Torre d’Aigües de la Catalana de Gas (Modernist):
Parc de Recerca Biomèdica (2006):
Biblioteca Barceloneta (Modernist)
A streetlight, a library, a private house, an office building, a hotel or group of historic buildings, often inaccessible places during the rest of the year, are some of the many types of spaces that open their doors to the locals and all those who visit Barcelona during this period.
Arquitectura Reversible are the minds behind Barcelona’s edition of this worldwide initiative.
