Today shopping time.
Along with my friend Olivia, we were walking through Paseo de Gracia just watching some cute stores, as we left the best for the end… Santa Eulalia (http://www.santaeulalia.com/en/) was waiting for us! This high end boutique has more to it than what meets the eye…
Not only does it have the most exclusive, fashionable and known brands of the world but you also have (and this is the part that not many people know) a surprisingly cute and sophisticated café where you can either enjoy breakfast, great afternoon teas and splendid food and wine (lunch only)! The café’s decoration reminds me of a mixture between Paris and New York of the 50’s with a very subtle touch of modernism but if the weather is good the terrace is a MUST!
Everything tastes and feels much better with fresh air and natural light. It is the perfect place to end up after an exhausting day of shopping…
We started off our meal with a wonderful “Warm Burrata with eggplant, raf tomate and kumu with pesto”! It was absolutely delicious, from the moment I put it in my mouth I was instantly transported to one of those ‘’insider’’ Cafés in Venice that not many tourists know. The cheese was of such good quality that it melted in my mouth and the combination with the tomatoes, the eggplant, the pesto sauce and the olive oil was a true success!
The service was amazing!! Our waiter, Stephen, was wonderful, very attentive and caring with a very charming smile, he gave us some very good food and wine pairing recommendations!
And because we had such a hard shopping day and we wanted to finish our meal in crescendo, we rewarded ourselves with a delightful (everything but light) ‘’Three chocolate texture Oriol Balaguer’’. It really was the cherry on top of the cake! We will definitely be coming back!
PS: Did you know that Santa Eulalia also has a fashion blog worth following?
AND they did a fashion photoshoot at W Barcelona (www.w-barcelona.com):
